Lake Tekapo is a lovely little township nestled on the shores of a beautiful, crystal clear lake in the Mackenzie Basin, about 3 hours south-west of Christchurch.
In summer, lupins line the shores creating a myriad of beautiful colours. In winter, snow capped mountains frame the blue waters of the lake.
