Rather than marrying within the township, I carefully select a beautiful lakeside location around the lake, allowing you to enjoy a more peaceful and natural setting for your ceremony.
Whether the lake is perfectly still, reflecting the surrounding mountains, or a gentle breeze creates ripples across the water, the ever-changing landscape provides a stunning backdrop in every season. With the Southern Alps rising beyond the shoreline, it’s a place that feels relaxed, timeless and unmistakably New Zealand.
From arranging your ceremony location and celebrant to coordinating your flowers, photographer and New Zealand marriage paperwork, I personally take care of every detail. All you need to do is relax, take in the beauty of Lake Wānaka and enjoy every moment together.
What your day looks like
Your day begins at your accommodation, where you’ll enjoy a relaxed morning getting ready for your wedding.
Your hairstylist and makeup artist will come to you, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy the excitement of the day. Before you get dressed, your photographer will arrive to capture the details of your wedding, including your dress, flowers, jewellery and those quiet moments before your ceremony.
Once you’re ready, you’ll make your way to the shores of beautiful Lake Wānaka, where your celebrant and photographer will be waiting.
With the lake and surrounding mountains as your backdrop, you’ll exchange your vows in a relaxed and intimate ceremony before enjoying a photography session together around the lakeside and nearby scenic locations.
If you choose, you can also add an optional helicopter flight to capture spectacular alpine photographs from one of Wānaka’s breathtaking mountain locations.
From beginning to end, your wedding day is carefully planned so you can simply relax, enjoy the experience and focus on celebrating your marriage together.

Is this package good for just the two of us?
Perfectly. It's a relaxed, ground-level ceremony with no helicopter — simply the two of you (or up to four guests), your celebrant and your photographer, on the shore of the lake.
Can we add a helicopter photo flight?
Yes — an optional helicopter upgrade takes you up after the ceremony for an extended photo session over the lake and mountains. Ask me and I'll quote it for your date.
When is the best time for a lakeside wedding?
Lakeside ceremonies are lovely from around October to April, in the softer light of morning or late afternoon.
