Perched high on the Mt Roy ridgeline above Lake Wānaka, this exclusive private mountain location offers uninterrupted views across the lake, the surrounding alpine ranges and Mount Aspiring National Park. Reached only by helicopter, it’s a place very few people will ever have the opportunity to stand.
As your helicopter climbs above Wānaka, the scenery unfolds beneath you before touching down on a spectacular mountain ridgeline where the views seem to stretch forever. Surrounded by some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking landscapes, you’ll exchange your vows in complete privacy, with nothing but mountains, sky and the person you love beside you.
From arranging your helicopter flights and exclusive access to coordinating your celebrant, photographer, flowers, hair and makeup, I personally take care of every detail. All you need to do is relax, soak in the incredible surroundings and enjoy a wedding day you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.
What your day looks like
Your day begins at your accommodation, where you’ll enjoy a relaxed morning getting ready for your wedding.
Your hairstylist and makeup artist will come to you, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy the excitement of the day. Before you get dressed, your photographer will arrive to capture the details of your wedding, including your dress, flowers, jewellery and those quiet moments before your ceremony.
Once you’re ready, you’ll travel to the helicopter base, where your pilot will welcome you before taking you on a breathtaking scenic flight to Coromandel Peak.
After landing, you’ll have time to take in the incredible alpine views before exchanging your vows in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular mountain locations. Following your ceremony, you’ll enjoy a relaxed photography session together while taking in the scenery around you.
After your time on the mountain, you’ll return by helicopter before continuing your celebrations however you choose.
From beginning to end, your wedding day is carefully planned so you can simply relax, enjoy the experience, and focus on celebrating your marriage together.

What does the package cost?
The Coromandel Peak package starts from NZ$9,500, with everything listed included — flight, celebrant, licence guidance, photography, hair, makeup and flowers. Your personal proposal confirms the exact figure for your date.
Where is Coromandel Peak?
It's a private-land landing on the Mt Roy ridgeline high above Lake Wānaka, about a ten-minute flight from the Wānaka base.
What if the weather prevents the flight?
We move to a lovely ground-level backup location and your day goes ahead — the helicopter portion is refunded if we can't fly.
Is a helicopter wedding safe?
Yes. I work only with CAA-certified operators and hugely experienced alpine pilots, and every flight carries full insurance. The pilot always has the final say on the day — if conditions aren’t right to fly safely, we simply move to a beautiful alternative rather than take any risk. Your safety comes first, always.
