Heart & Truth
I Plan for Love
A poem from the heart about why I plan weddings, not for perfection, but for love, calm, and moments that stay.
(Heart & Truth Series)
Every couple I work with has a story, unique, real, and full of heart.
Over the years, I’ve come to realise that what I truly plan isn’t just a wedding day… it’s love itself.
The kind that feels calm, honest, and lasting.
This poem is a little piece of what that means to me.
I plan love.
Not the kind that asks for attention,
but the kind that blooms quietly
in the hearts of two people
who have found their forever.
Every time a new message arrives,
I feel that spark of excitement.
I can almost hear the joy behind the words,
the nerves, the laughter,
the dream starting to take shape.
That’s why I love to chat, not just write.
Emails can’t hold the warmth in a voice,
or the way someone pauses
when they picture their wedding for the first time.
On a call, I can feel their hearts
their hope, their trust
and that’s where the real planning begins.
When their day finally arrives,
I feel it through them
their photos, their messages, their words afterward.
I can sense the laughter,
the peace,
the moment when it all came together
just the way they imagined.
Every plan I create is a quiet promise:
that their new journey
will begin with calm,
with joy,
and with the kind of beauty
that stays in their hearts forever.
I plan love.
From the first hello
to the final note sent,
I hold each couple with care
because what I create
isn’t just a wedding.
It’s a memory that won’t fade,
a beginning they’ll always remember
as pure, peaceful, and true.
Thank you to every couple who’s trusted me to bring their day to life with heart.
Warmest,
Donna x
