Terms & Conditions
1. Who We Are
New Zealand Dream Weddings 2015 Ltd (“NZDW”) is a fully registered New Zealand company owned and operated by Donna-Louise Dohi. When you book your elopement or wedding with NZDW, you are engaging NZDW to plan, coordinate, and guide your wedding journey in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and your individual wedding contract.
2. Deposit & Payments
To secure your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of your package total is required unless stated otherwise in your individual quote.
The final balance is due 14 days prior to your wedding date and must be paid in full by that time.
Payments are made via international bank transfer or local bank deposit. Any bank or transfer fees are the responsibility of the client. Please ensure the full invoiced amount is received by NZDW.
For international payments, NZDW recommends using Wise.com, as it allows clients to send funds internationally while ensuring NZDW receives the correct amount after fees. Use of Wise is optional and provided as a convenience only.
3. Postponement & Date Changes
If you need to postpone your wedding, please notify NZDW as soon as possible. NZDW will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your wedding to an alternative date, subject to availability of venues, locations, and suppliers.
Postponements may result in additional costs or re-booking fees charged by third-party suppliers. Any such fees are the responsibility of the client.
4. Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your wedding within 14 days of the scheduled date, no refund will be provided. This reflects costs already incurred and the loss of opportunity to rebook the date.
All cancellations must be provided in writing.
5. Weather & Alternative Plans
Many NZDW weddings take place outdoors or involve helicopter access and are therefore subject to weather and safety conditions.
If weather or safety conditions make the original plan unsafe or impractical, NZDW will implement an alternative plan. This may include:
using an alternative approved location
adjusting timing
relocating the ceremony to accommodation or another suitable site
If you choose not to proceed with an alternative plan, any refund offered will be at NZDW’s discretion, based on services already provided and costs incurred, less any non-recoverable supplier or bank fees.
6. Suppliers & Responsibility
NZDW works exclusively with experienced and trusted professional suppliers, including celebrants, pilots, photographers, videographers, florists, stylists, and drivers.
Each supplier is an independent contractor and is responsible for the delivery of their own services. NZDW coordinates suppliers and manages communication and logistics but is not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
7. Insurance, Permits & Safety
NZDW holds $2,000,000 public liability insurance and maintains a current Safety Audit Certificate approved by the New Zealand Department of Conservation (DOC).
All helicopter operators and professional suppliers engaged by NZDW hold their own safety certifications and insurance coverage.
NZDW holds the required DOC concessions and permissions for approved ceremony and landing locations, ensuring all weddings are planned legally and responsibly.
8. Privacy & Images
NZDW respects client privacy. Unless otherwise advised in writing, NZDW may use selected images from your wedding for website, social media, or promotional purposes. Full names are never published, and clients are not tagged without consent.
If you prefer that no images from your wedding are used, please advise NZDW in writing. Your wishes will always be respected.
9. Safety
Client safety is a priority at all times. NZDW works only with experienced crews and follows strict safety procedures, particularly for alpine and helicopter weddings.
Clients are required to read and sign the NZDW Client Safety Statement as part of the full wedding contract.
10. Final Note
These Terms & Conditions provide a general overview of NZDW’s policies and processes. Full details specific to your wedding are outlined in your individual wedding contract. In the event of any inconsistency, the signed contract takes precedence.
