AKAROA – the place for love and romance. A truly stunning wedding location for small intimate weddings. With views this spectacular you will feel that you have gone to heaven for your wedding ceremony.

Looking down on the small settlement of Akaroa, the sparkling water and the surrounding hills that envelope the area to give more protection from the weather makes this a great Akaroa ceremony location.

Akaroa is a short 90 minute drive from Christchurch, it is best that you travel there the day before the wedding as this gives you time to relax.  The accommodation that is on offer makes you spoilt for choice.

This venue is weather dependent and if weather should not allow an outdoor ceremony we will transfer to a sheltered location.

Note: New Zealand Dream Weddings have over 18 years of specialization in wedding planning. We work with couples from overseas planning to travel to New Zealand to be married or couples living in New Zealand that plan to elope. All our packages are made for just the couple, with at the most a couple of guests. Everything you need legally to be married in New Zealand is included in our basic packages.

This package is priced for the couple only with no guests.

Basic Package  NZ$4900

  • Professional Wedding Planner
  • Coordinator on hand to help you on your wedding day

  • Wedding ceremony
  • Two Witnesses (required for legal weddings)
  • All your legal wedding paperwork will be recognized in your country as a legal wedding – (Marriage Certificate and Apostille + postage). Should you live in a country that requires Authentication then there is an extra NZ$50 fee
  • Assistance with lodging your Marriage Licence directly online with the New Zealand Internal Affairs Office. You will be required to pay directly online a one-off fee of NZ$150. The license will be emailed to you in approximately 3 working days
  • Complimentary glass of NZ bubbly to celebrate your wedding
  • Up to 2 hours of photography
  • Private Transport from your Akaroa accommodation to the wedding location
  • Private Transport after your wedding ceremony to your photoshoot
  • Private Transport after your wedding ceremony to your Akaroa accommodation

Addition Options

  • Translation of your Marriage Certificate to your country’s written language if not English NZ$100
  • Bouquet and boutonniere start from NZ$380 (pricing depends on style and size)
  • Hair and Makeup styling (includes stylists’ travel fee to Akaroa) starting from NZ$600 (stylists travel from Christchurch)
  • Wedding cakes start from NZ$280
  • Videographer (includes videographers travel fee) starting from NZ$2000 (videographer travels from Christchurch)

*We can recommend accommodation in Akaroa as well as places for your wedding meal
